Steph Adams, a name celebrated across the worlds of fashion, literature, and entrepreneurship, embodies empowerment and creativity. With 16 books to her name and a mission to inspire women globally, her latest release, BEAUTY SECRETS, offers readers a behind-the-scenes look at luxury and elegance through the lens of her multifaceted experiences.
In this exclusive conversation, Adams opens up about her journey, her inspirations, and what drives her to continuously break boundaries.
How do you feel about the global recognition you’ve received, including your recent awards?
The awards are a humbling acknowledgment of my journey. The Global Recognition Award meant so much because it celebrated the women whose stories I’ve featured in my books—over 400 voices from different cultures and backgrounds. These stories are my way of amplifying their achievements and inspiring others.
The World Woman Leader Award was another defining moment. While I couldn’t attend the ceremony, my dear friend HRH Prince Nereides Antonio Giamundo de Bourbon accepted it on my behalf. The event also raised funds for victims of natural disasters in Greece, which added even more significance to the honor.
Your career has spanned modeling, art direction, writing, and more. How did it all come together?
Modeling was my introduction to the creative world. I began at 12, traveling extensively and gaining exposure to global aesthetics. Later, I pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree, which led me to art direction. I worked with Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, and other leading publications, which gave me invaluable insight into the fashion industry.
But I wanted to do more—something that blended creativity with meaningful connections. I started attending events, building networks, and eventually created a platform where I could showcase inspiring stories. That evolved into writing books, which has become one of my greatest passions.
What inspired you to write BEAUTY SECRETS, and what makes it special?
BEAUTY SECRETS presents advice from the world’s top supermodels as well as interviews with international models and fitness professionals and nutritionists about what fitness and health regime’s you should embark on as well as beauty items you should invest in. It’s a great inspiration to women worldwide as it’s a gentle approach to beauty and enjoying life.
You’ve collaborated with luxury brands and graced billboards in Times Square. What moments stand out in your career?
There have been many memorable milestones, but one that stands out is seeing my work on a Times Square billboard. It was surreal, but what I value even more are the quieter moments—like brainstorming ideas with a creative team or hearing how one of my books impacted someone’s life. It’s those connections that make the journey worthwhile.
What values guide your work, particularly as an ambassador for iconic brands like Dior and Louis Vuitton?
Authenticity and empowerment are at the heart of everything I do. I admire how Dior’s Maria Grazia Chiuri integrates these values into her designs. Representing such brands is about honoring their legacy while also bringing my own perspective. For me, it’s all about celebrating individuality and strength.
You’ve mentioned your grandfather, Phillip Rennell Adams, as an influence. What lessons did you learn from him?
My grandfather taught me the importance of hard work, manners, and meaningful conversations. He valued family deeply, and I carry that with me. Watching him navigate his life with grace and resilience inspired me to prioritize relationships and remain grounded, no matter what I achieve.
What sparked your interest in writing and publishing?
It began during my time at Harper’s Bazaar Australia. I worked on a coffee table book, and the process fascinated me. I realized I wanted to create something similar, blending storytelling with visual art. Over time, this passion grew, and now I’ve written 15 books inspired by my love for fashion, culture, and history.
What new projects are you working on?
I’m currently working on a coffee table book that will launch next year, which I’m incredibly excited about. I’m also collaborating with international brands on campaigns and exploring new creative ventures. Each project feels like a new adventure.
Philanthropy plays a big role in your life. What causes are closest to your heart?
I’ve been involved with charities that support breast cancer awareness, children with special needs, and those with visual and hearing impairments. Giving back is essential to me—it’s a way to channel my platform into meaningful action.
What does your daily routine look like, especially when it comes to wellness?
I believe in simplicity. I drink lots of water, maintain a balanced diet, and exercise regularly. My mornings usually start with a walk or jog, followed by a light weight session. I also take spirulina daily and enjoy a spinach smoothie with protein powder. These habits keep me feeling energized and focused.
You’ve attended prestigious events like the Cannes and Venice Film Festivals. What do you enjoy most about these experiences?
The red carpets are glamorous, but what I love most is meeting the creative minds behind the scenes—writers, directors, producers. Their passion and vision are incredibly inspiring. Being part of these events reminds me of the power of storytelling in all its forms.
What advice would you give to women aspiring to succeed in their careers?
Be passionate, stay authentic, and never shy away from hard work. Resilience is key—there will be challenges, but they’re often the best teachers. And above all, be kind. It’s a quality that leaves a lasting impression.
Steph Adams’ journey is a testament to the power of creativity, resilience, and authenticity.
